We made it! Give yourself a pat on the back.

I have had such a wonderful year. I loved it. I can honestly say that I have never felt more full of life than this. There are some very awesome people in my life right now. Most have been there since forever, some are new and some are old and new again at the same time. I am so happy to be starting this year off with so much love and support. Of course everyone makes some well intended resolutions this time of year. I am doing the same.

I want to commit.
Commit to my life and family.

I want to commit to making choices. I want to recognize everything I do is a choice. I am in control of how I react, how I plan, and how I feel. I am aware that there are things I can not control. Part of me chooses to ignore some of those things. Not because I am just that arrogant, but because I can not stop what I am doing to try and change something that is out of my control.

I want to commit to myself. I will take those extra 5 minutes in the shower when I am able to. One of the perks of being a grown up is I get to make those kinds of choices. I am going to paint my nails every now and then. I am going to put up signs in my pantry that say: Is that going to help you to your goal? I am making the decision to say no cheese... that was a lie. I will say sometimes to cheese. I do want to stay happy.

I want to commit to my husband. We have been married for a while and I have been an ok wife. I cook, I clean up here and there, I try and make life happy for him. I want to do better. I want to iron some things for him. I want to get dressed up a little more often (who doesn't like to get pretty anyway?). I want him to have the support he needs to be whatever he wants to be. I want to have more "togetherness activities". Yeah, you saw that right. My OB called it that. He also said the best way to get the baby out is how you got it in there. Amazing :)

There are a few things you should do this new year:

He wants you to share!
1. Share my blog! Not just mine, but anyone who you enjoy reading. Share it with the world. If it was worth reading then it is worth sharing.

Christmas Time!
2. Be the person you envision yourself being. With the exception of having long curly hair like my sister I am seeing a strong woman who plays all morning in a garden. I am plotting out the garden right now.

3. Help more people. Unless they are asses about it. Then go eat ice cream.

  1. What a beautiful post!!! "Be the person you envision yourself being" that is powerful. My very favorite quote is "Its never to late to be who you might have been" -George Eliot
